My life has existed up and down
the east coast.
Born a native Philadelphian like the rest of my family, I moved
to North Carolina when I was 8 years old and had a southern grown childhood.
I
attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill for the best four years
of my life, completing a dual Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology
with a minor in Chemistry. I’ve always had an interest in teaching, but never
pursued it during my college career seriously.
Well, having NO idea what I wanted
to do after college, God intervened with an amazing plan.
I was accepted into the
service-teaching Master’s program at St. Joseph’s University through the
Alliance for Catholic Education, and moved to Philadelphia June
30th to work on my master’s and teach 6th grade.
God made it clear that I am here for a reason.
Its all coming very full circle,
for I am moving back to my home state, birth city, attending the university
where my parents both met and graduated from, and by God’s grace will be
teaching at the elementary school that my Dad and his 4 brother’s all attended.
It will be a crazy, hectic, scary
and amazing ride, and I invite you all to join in with me!
I blog more about teaching at thereturnbackhome.wordpress.com
